Breckenridge started as a gold camp on the Blue River in 1859 and never bothered to get smaller. The town sits at 9,600 feet under the Tenmile Range, Main Street is lined with painted 1880s storefronts that survived every bust, and Peak 8 rises straight off the back of town. Locals say Breck, hike Quandary Peak before breakfast in summer, and drive Boreas Pass in late September when the aspens go gold against the Continental Divide. There is even a stubborn local legend that the town was left off a federal map for decades and briefly declared itself its own kingdom.

Our Breckenridge collection takes that altitude seriously. The crewneck carries a pair of crossed vintage skis under the Tenmile skyline in teal and ember, with 9,600 feet set in small type at the hem of the badge. The tee is cleaner, a bold Breck wordmark with the 1859 line, meant for the Blue River bike path in July and the walk down Main Street for a hot chocolate in January. The mug and sticker share the artwork.

It is original, printed to order in the USA, and made for Summit County locals, the Front Range families who have skied here since they were kids, and anyone who has felt the altitude on the first lap and kept skiing anyway.

Why we love Breckenridge

  • ✦Main Street still looks like the 1880s gold camp it was
  • ✦At 9,600 feet it is one of the highest towns in the country
  • ✦Quandary Peak is a 14er you can climb and be back for lunch
  • ✦Boreas Pass Road in late September is pure gold
  • ✦Ski-bum culture and family ski trips coexist on the same chairlift

Best time to go: January for cold, dry snow on the Tenmile Range; late September for the gold aspens along Boreas Pass Road.

Breckenridge apparel FAQ

Are these official Breckenridge resort products?+

No. Everything here is original artwork from independent designers. We are not affiliated with Breckenridge Ski Resort, Vail Resorts, or the Town of Breckenridge.

Is the Breckenridge sweatshirt good for high altitude cold?+

It is a midweight fleece built for layering. On a January day in Breck wear it over a base layer and under a shell. On a summer evening on Main Street it is enough on its own. Fabric weights are on every product page.

What sizes do the Breckenridge tees come in?+

Adult unisex sizes XS through 3XL on most tees, with a size chart in inches on each listing. If you are between sizes for a relaxed fit, go up one.
