Newport Beach, California

Newport Beach is a harbor town first and a beach town second, and the two halves meet on the Balboa Peninsula. Newport Pier and Balboa Pier bookend the peninsula, the Wedge throws twenty-foot closeouts at the jetty when a south swell shows up, and the ferry still shuttles three cars at a time over to Balboa Island, where frozen bananas have been a summer ritual since the 1940s. Across the bridge, Corona del Mar keeps its coves and its tide pools, and the Back Bay winds inland for miles of egrets and kayaks. In December the harbor fills with lights for the boat parade and the whole town turns out on the seawall.

Our Newport Beach collection takes its lines from the harbor. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a sailboat-and-pier badge in navy and harbor-light gold with the 1906 incorporation year, warm enough for a December night watching the boats pass. The tee is a cleaner Newport Beach wordmark with a single sail for a Back Bay paddle or a Balboa Island loop. The mug and the sticker carry the same drawing for the galley and the cooler.
