Palm Springs, California

Palm Springs is the desert city that figured out how to make 110 degrees look glamorous. Mount San Jacinto rises ten thousand feet straight up from the west edge of town, the Aerial Tramway climbs it in ten minutes, and the Indian Canyons below hold the largest fan palm oasis in the country. Palm Canyon Drive runs through downtown past mid-century storefronts, the windmills spin at the mouth of the pass, and every neighborhood from the Movie Colony to Twin Palms has a pool, a breeze block wall and a view. Winter is the season: seventy-five degrees in February while the rest of the country shovels.

Our Palm Springs collection borrows that mid-century palette. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a palm-and-mountain badge in sunset orange and pool blue with the 1938 incorporation year, made for the cool desert nights when the temperature drops forty degrees after dark. The tee is a lighter Palm Springs wordmark with a single palm for a tramway ride or a hike into Tahquitz Canyon. The mug and sticker share the same artwork, so the set looks right on a patio table.
