Encinitas is six miles of Coast Highway 101 where the surf culture never went corporate. Swami's is the point break below the golden lotus domes, a long right that locals have been reading since the 1930s, and Moonlight Beach is where the town goes on a Sunday with its coolers and volleyballs. Leucadia, on the north end, keeps its funky old motels and eucalyptus trees. Cardiff-by-the-Sea, on the south, has the reef, the campground and the surfer statue everybody loves to dress up. The San Elijo Lagoon sits between them, full of egrets and walking trails, and the whole stretch smells like sunscreen and fish tacos.

Our Encinitas collection is cut for that slow lane. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a surfboard-and-sunset badge in dawn gold and Pacific teal with the 1986 incorporation year, warm enough for a pre-dawn surf check in January. The tee is a cleaner Encinitas wordmark with a single board for a 101 coffee run or a stroll down to Beacon's. The mug and the sticker share the same art for the kitchen counter and the surf rack.
