Park City made its first fortune in silver and its second in snow. The mines under the mountain pulled out hundreds of millions of dollars before they closed, and the shafts and tramways are still up there under the ski runs. Historic Main Street climbs the hill in a line of 1890s storefronts, and the Town Lift loads skiers straight off the sidewalk, which is the kind of detail that makes a town. The Wasatch Back gets the dry, light storms that Utah is known for, Guardsman Pass goes gold with aspens every September, and Round Valley is where locals ride and run the other nine months. People who live here call themselves Parkites and keep the film-festival crowd politely at arm's length.

Our Park City collection keeps the silver and the snow together. The crewneck carries a pair of crossed skis over a mine-headframe silhouette in pewter, cream and a hit of ore red, the town name set below in a mining-camp serif. The tee is cleaner, Park City in a tall condensed face with the 1884 line and a single peak, built for the Rail Trail in June and an Old Town walk in January. The mug and sticker share the crossed-skis artwork.

Everything is original and printed to order in the USA. We make it for the Parkites, for the Salt Lake families who drive up Parleys every powder morning, and for anyone who left and still keeps an eye on the Wasatch snow stake.

Why we love Park City

  • ✦The Town Lift loads skiers right off Main Street
  • ✦Silver mine tunnels still run under the ski runs
  • ✦Wasatch storms bring some of the driest snow in the country
  • ✦Guardsman Pass in late September is wall-to-wall gold aspens
  • ✦Forty minutes from a major airport to a chairlift

Best time to go: January for dry Wasatch snow and quiet weeks after the film crowd leaves; late September for golden aspens over Guardsman Pass.
