Bend is a high-desert town on the dry side of the Cascades where the sun shows up about 300 days a year and everyone owns at least one bike. The Deschutes River runs right through the middle, and from June to September the thing to do is float it from the Old Mill to Drake Park on an inner tube with a cooler. Pilot Butte rises 500 feet out of the east side for the daily sunset walk, Mount Bachelor holds snow from November into May, and the Three Sisters line up on the western horizon every clear morning. Smith Rock, half an hour north, is where American sport climbing was born, and Tumalo Falls is the short hike everyone takes a visitor to first.

Our Bend collection is built for that two-season life. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a ponderosa-and-peaks badge in lava-rock charcoal and juniper green with the 1905 incorporation year, warm enough for a 35-degree morning that will be 75 by lunch. The tee is a cleaner Bend wordmark with a single pine for a river float or a Phil's Trail ride. The mug and sticker use the same artwork for the cabin and the bike rack.

Everything is original art, printed to order in the USA. It is for the people who moved here for one winter and bought a house, for the river-float regulars, for the trail runners and the brewery-hoppers, and for everyone who left Central Oregon and still smells ponderosa bark when it gets warm.

Why we love Bend

  • ✦Floating the Deschutes through town is a summer-long tradition
  • ✦Pilot Butte is a 500-foot sunset walk from the middle of the city
  • ✦Smith Rock is where American sport climbing got its start
  • ✦Snow at Bachelor and sun in town can happen on the same May afternoon

Best time to go: July through September for river floats, Cascade Lakes afternoons and 300 days of sun; December through March for Bachelor on a storm cycle.

Bend apparel FAQ

Is this official Bend, Oregon merchandise?+

No. Every design is original artwork from independent designers. We are not affiliated with the City of Bend, any ski resort, brewery, state park or the local tourism bureau.

What products are in the Bend collection?+

A crewneck, a hoodie, a cotton tee, an 11-ounce mug and a weatherproof sticker pack, all printed with the same ponderosa-and-peaks art. Product pages list fabric and fit.

Does the Bend sweatshirt run warm enough for winter?+

The crewneck is a midweight fleece that works as a layer for a cold morning or a brewery patio in the evening. For a Bachelor storm day, wear a shell over it. Sizes run S to 3XL.
