Cannon Beach is a four-mile stretch of the north Oregon coast with a 235-foot sea stack standing in the middle of it. Haystack Rock is the thing you came to see, tufted puffins nesting on top from spring to midsummer, tide pools full of starfish at its base when the water pulls back. Ecola State Park sits on the headland just north, with Indian Beach below it and Tillamook Head above, and the lighthouse offshore has been taking a beating from winter storms since 1881. Hemlock Street is the town: galleries, a bakery, a bookstore and salt air. Hug Point, a few miles south, hides a waterfall and a wagon road blasted into the rock.

Our Cannon Beach collection is built for the coast in every weather. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a wave-and-sea-stack badge in storm grey and spruce green with the 1956 incorporation year, heavy enough for a January storm watch from the beach. The tee is a cleaner Cannon Beach wordmark with a single wave for a July sandcastle day or a walk down to Tolovana. The mug and sticker share the same art for the rental kitchen and the thermos.

Everything is original art, printed to order in the USA. It is for the year-round locals who know the beach is best in winter, for the Portland families who have rented the same house for twenty years, and for everyone who stood at the base of Haystack Rock in the fog and forgot to check their phone.

Why we love Cannon Beach

  • ✦Haystack Rock stands 235 feet tall and hosts puffins every spring
  • ✦Low tide opens up tide pools full of starfish and anemones
  • ✦Ecola State Park's headland is the best coastal view in Oregon
  • ✦Winter storm watching here is a sport, not a complaint

Best time to go: July through September for sun, the sandcastle contest and puffins on Haystack Rock; December through February for storm watching from a rental with a fireplace.

The hoodie is a midweight fleece with a lined hood, which is right for a windy beach walk in July or a layered winter storm watch. Weights and fabrics are on each product page.

Can you ship to a vacation rental on the coast?+

Yes, as long as the address accepts USPS or UPS. Orders print in 2 to 5 business days and arrive 3 to 6 business days after shipping, with tracking by email so you can time it to your stay.
