Napa Valley is thirty miles of vines between two mountain ranges, and the whole place runs on a calendar of its own. Mustard blooms yellow between the rows in February, bud break comes in March, the vines go heavy and green through summer, and then the Crush arrives in September when every truck on Highway 29 is hauling grapes. The Silverado Trail is the quiet road up-valley, past Stags Leap and the Rutherford dust, through St. Helena's Main Street and on to Calistoga's mud baths and the hot springs at the foot of Mount St. Helena. Down-valley, the City of Napa has turned its riverfront into a food town in its own right.

Our Napa Valley collection draws from those rows. The crewneck sweatshirt carries a grape-cluster-and-ridgeline badge in cabernet red and dry-grass gold with an 1850 line for the year the county was formed, warm enough for a foggy morning tasting in the Carneros. The tee is a lighter Napa Valley wordmark with a single vine for a bike ride up the Trail or a picnic in Yountville. The mug and sticker carry the same art for the kitchen and the wine fridge.

Everything is original, printed to order in the USA. It is for the people who pick, pour and prune for a living, for the regulars who book the same harvest weekend every year, and for everyone who went for one tasting and came back with a case and a plan.

Why we love Napa Valley

  • ✦Mustard season turns the vineyards gold before the vines wake up
  • ✦The Silverado Trail is the back road every local takes instead of 29
  • ✦Calistoga has been soaking people in hot springs and mud since the 1860s
  • ✦Harvest brings the whole valley to life and the smell of crushed grapes

Best time to go: September and October for harvest, when the whole valley smells like crushed grapes; February and March for the mustard bloom and empty tasting rooms.
